Turkey Walnut Salad

~Back to Recipes~

This is great on croissants! Turkey, white grapes and walnuts
make this a very good choice for a shower or a crowd on Sunday.

About 4 cups of cubed meat
1 cup of chopped walnuts
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
3/4 cup green onions
1/4 cup white grapes {sliced}
1/2 cup of Hellmann's mayo {this is the best, don't fool around with that other one!}
1/4 cup of lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt

I bake a turkey breast. I must tell you that as with a whole turkey,I rub the bird
with crushed garlic and pour Italian Dressing[Good Seasons that you mix in a cruet}
all over it...bake in roaster covered with foil.
I let the breast cool and then de-bone and cube.

Do this in a large bowl because you must mix all this together.
I double the recipe always. Take some to a neighbor.

As with all things I cook, I taste and adjust.
You may like less nuts or grapes. I like more. 1/2 cup mayo may not be enough so have it your way!
I slice the croissants and fill with the salad because you don't
want a big line forming in your dining room.
Place them on a pretty platter and cover with plastic wrap,
remember not to leave this out very long cause it needs to be refrigerated.
You do not want to wipe out your whole family with one meal...LOL
If you do, go ahead and leave it out for a couple of days.

Meijer's has great croissants.
